Takes a dozen days to open
that bag. A fag ash splash in the clasp
burns my throat, catches my lips
with a first tobacco kiss.
A pack of full-strength Capstans couple
with a Californian Poppy phial.
Sea dogs and sunshine smile.
Sharing a Moment.
Constant as a Vow.
