Aquarius by Mollie Williamson

I could float on endlessly in the vast depths of my mind. When I close my eyes, I see the
world as it could be. All shrouded in the glory and peace. But when I open my eyes, I find my
word disappointing. Isolated as I am upon this unscalable peak, I see all. Injustices and terror
are plights upon the world and yet from my place on high no one will listen. I am a ghost, an
idea, a faint musing that continues to fade like smoke slipping so effortlessly through one’s
fingers. What a grand notion I am and yet how detached I am from you. The irony is something
only I seem to recognize and find humbly amusing. How can you use me from my
unapproachable peak? I cannot save you with love for that is the most foreign thing to me. But I
can save you with knowledge, with truth. Your thirst for justice is the only thing strong enough
to counter your fear of me. But do be wary. I have been known to devour weak and monstrous
souls for unfortunately it seems that the power hungry are the only ones too reckless enough to
make the effort to broach me.
