We are open for themed submissions several times a year, usually for 3-5 weeks.
If you are curious about submitting and want to see if we are accepting work, then you can check our 'current theme' page or our Twitter page (linked at the bottom of this site).
Once you have checked the current callout (and if you feel your piece matches the chosen theme!) then please submit your work to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
We accept ANY genre and are flexible when it comes to word limits (but know that the longer the piece, the more it has to WOW to keep our attention).
- Short fiction
- Flash fiction
- Long fiction
And if you want to try submitting something not included on this list, then go for it! We are always looking for unique pieces.
We prefer if your documents are submitted as an attachment, but will also accept work that is typed into the body of an email.
Attachment preferences are .doc/x for fiction and poetry, .jpeg or .png for images. Images can be any size, but must be of good quality to prevent blurring.
In the subject title of your email please include your name and what type of piece you are submitting (e.g. ‘John Smith, Flash Fiction’). You may submit up to four times per issue, and you may do so in one email (for special issues, this remains the same but only ONE piece will be selected for publication).
Please be chatty(!) and please include your most recent 3rd person biography. If you have a particular image you feel would fit your piece, feel free to link to it, but it must be free for reuse under the Creative Commons.
Unfortunately we cannot pay for submissions.
